My first completed before and after at the new house. I. am. so. excited.
Today's post will be short and sweet as I have a few pictures of our main floor powder room makeover to share with you.
Let me start by saying this...
God love the people who used to live in this house, but jeepers (yea, I just used that word) their decor was...well non existent ! Which really was a blessing in disguise when we first found the house, because it allowed me to picture the rooms which ever way I wanted since there was zero decor on any walls. Literally, zero.

Here is the bathroom before it's makeover !
Yes, you are in fact seeing correctly, this was the original mirror in this bathroom. This deserves another "Jeppers" right ? :)
As soon as I saw this bathroom I knew I wanted to do something bold to it, and I also knew I could get away with it since it's just a powder room and we wouldn't be spending lots of time in there.
Makeover time ! Start the scrolling...
First thing is first. Change this mini vanity colour. Yikes.
I used a hard sand paper as I wanted to make sure I got all the varnish off before I started to paint.
Sanding complete.
Moment of panic : "I didn't sand enough ! Beep."
Solution : Keep layering the paint until all is covered.
Dear green painters tape,
Our fight will never be over, I'll never win let you win at your game of "never coming off my walls & appliances".
Sincerely,
Your worst enemy.
Okay, the three layers of paint worked. (Phew !)
Now, bring on the wallpaper - with a little help from the Mr.
Side note : I painted the other 3 walls white. They were the same beige colour you see here.
With a little help from a Homesense 29.99 $ mirror, and a 19.99$ aqua carpet we were all set.
Powder Room Makeover - Complete !
"Ain't she preddy?"
My apologies for the picture quality, I was a little too excited/overtired/already into my other project to look back on the picture I took !
Hope you like my new & improved powder room. I'm going to include my "Before & Afters" into the "DIY" tab at the top of the blog, this way they are easy access for anyone !
Come back Friday for a new post.
From the famous words of C.A.P - Bye.Cya.
