Housewarming prezzie !

Happy Monday !
The sun is shinning here and my windows are open - I can smell summer coming ! Finally.

Alright, I'm so, so, SO, excited about this post !
We recently had friends move into a new home a few hours away - Congrats S & J !
We hadn't been up to visit them as they were still settling in their new home, our plans were to wait a bit ; however, we got a last minute message that we had to make a trip up that way on Friday. So, perfect timing to stop in and see their new place !

Woah, wait. We are leaving in 5 hours and we don't have a housewarming present ? Uh oh !
Think. Be crafty. Think.

This is where I get to do a little shout out to one of my blogging friends, Rhiannon over at "My Handcrafted Home". This idea was inspired by one of her recent post :) It made the perfect little housewarming present !
So, here it is my version of "Letter Art"

He is Italian, she is French, and they communicate in English - so the three languages were necessary !

Here is what I used :
Frame
Letter stamps & ink pad
Piece of Bristol Board

Place the Bristol board behind your frame, like so.

Stamp away !

Stamp your "message" in a different colour ink, so it pops out !

Voila ! Complete - in less than 10 minutes - perfect right ?

My Mr. asked me if I had included any secret words as well. He was a bit disappointed the answer was no, perhaps next time ?

Stick that frame in a little gift basket and you have the perfect housewarming present !

The gift was very last minute as we decided the same day to head down for a visit, but I was able to score some pretty neat things to throw in the basket ! Here is my list, in case you need some :

My letter art
Measuring spoons
Over mitts
Dish towels
4 place mats
Cake stand
4 mini wine dessert glasses
Dish drying mat
Tip : In my opinion taking the items out of their box to place in the gift basket, gives it a warmer look !

The gift was a hit, and they loved the letter art ! Woo !

Hope you enjoyed this DIY

Come back Wednesday !

Bye.Cya
