Two dollar mini project

Alright, this is a total Pinterest project - but I have to share !

I saw a bunch of these little DIY cake stand made from cheap plates and old candle sticks on Pinterest.
Here is the thing though - I don't really make a very good and or pretty cake. It's alright, I've come to terms with it over the years. So, with that being said,  I definitely will not be displaying any kind of deformed/not so tasty looking cakes on any lovely little stands for the world to see.
Instead, I decided to use the same idea, but give it a bit of a twist, oh and substitute the cake part for soap and a sponge.

Introducing my 5 minute little soap holder.

I'm sure you can figure out how to make this just from looking at it, but just in case (yeah right eh ?) I'll show you anyway !

So, the whole thing cost me a big whopping 2 bucks. Yes. Instert a big "Heck Yes."

The small jars came in a pack of 3 for a dollar, and the plate was another dollar.
I used some left over crafter's paint I had to paint the stand

First step - Paint your jars.
You really only have to paint one completely, the rest will be hidden inside the others.

Step 2 - Hot glue your jars together.
* You could totally just use one small jar for the stand I just wanted mine a bit taller.

Step 3: Hot glue the stand to the plate

Ta-Da ! New soap holder. The best part is that you can match it to your kitchen colours !

I love homemade stuff, aren't they the best !
This would make for a cute little housewarming present as well.

Hope you enjoyed it. I'm off to finish some more projects on my deck - it's actually warm here today ! Yippee.

Thanks for stopping in.

Bye.Cya
