Of course I love to see them come, but am I the only one who feels like they are having a mini panic attack thinking about every store being closed?
I mean, obviously I stock up on everything and wouldn't technically need to go to any store, but just the thought of them being closed makes me feel a bit unsettled. This sounded way less pathetic when it was just a thought in my head.
So let's move on - Even though I know like 89 percent of you feel the same !
Today's post is a "bit of everything" kinda deal.
You know, like a potluck, except you don't actually get to eat anything I'm bringing to the table...
C.A.P had a friend stay with us for a couple of days and we kept busy with walks, games of tag, counting in 2 languages and Easter crafts !
They each made 4 chocolate nests for their mini eggs !
Such an easy and yummy treat for the kiddos.
Chocolate chips, chow mien noodles and mini eggs - these are all the rage it seems, I had to go to 2 grocery stores to find the noodles.
Everyone must have the same idea. That,or someone is making a whole lot of soup !
Alright, so everyone knows I'm a HUGE tea drinker. Seriously I need those white stripes I drink so much.
This is one of my favorite teas.
You drink it plain, and it taste sweet and "nutty".
FA-bulous I tell ya.
Tip : Thanks to my mother-in-law, I now know that I have to keep a paper towel in the bottom part of my espresso maker. It keeps the moisture out.
You learn something new everyday !
Even though this guy is actually a diaper - isn't he just the cutest little thing ?
Here is how you can add a little extra decoration to a wrapped baby shower present - it could even replace a bow !
Roll and pin your diaper. Wrap it in a facecloth. Roll the sock down and place it over the diaper, turning it into the "baby's hat". Use a marker to add the eyes.
Now you have yourself a baby bow !
And finally.
Can every lady please turn their scale into a replica of this picture.
It truly speaks for itself.
Before I go, I've received a few emails asking about the potty situation, here is an update !
You can read all about the first potty experience HERE.
I am SO proud to say that I think we finally got this ball rolling ! Thanks to the Mr. we have figured out how to get C.A.P to use and love the potty.
We bribe him.
Yes, I said bribe.
Where do we pick up our parents of the year reward ?
Alright, so C.A.P has a potty rewards jar, but this is just more of a tease to me than anything else. I love chocolate and knowing it's in the kitchen causes me to be a bit distracted from...oh everything.
Anyway, the chocolate bribe didn't seem to work overly well. His answer was always "NO" when we asked him to use the potty.
One night (after I had pushed training to the back burner) the Mr. asked C.A.P if he wanted to take his bath, he of course said yes, but then the Mr. said "Well, to do so you have to use the big boy potty". C.A.P said "Okay" without hesitation and that was that.
Are you kidding me ?
Beep !
That's it ?
That's all it took ?
From then on out, every time C.A.P does something different (playing cards, meal or snack times, going outside etc) we tell him he must use the potty first, and it seems to be working. He even asks to use it himself. Long may this last !
Well, that's a wrap.
Hope everyone has an EGGcellent Easter !
Bye.Cya.
